Konica, Canon D400Sylvia started as a junior product manager with Lowepro in Germany in April of 2006. And what was her first and rather daunting task as a new employee? Researching and coordinating all aspects of Lowepro's participation in Photokina—the world's leading photo and imaging trade fair which takes place in Cologne every two years. She approached the challenge with energy and enthusiasm, communicating between her worldwide colleagues and the German team to develop a booth, organize show activities and manage press conferences…basically handling every detail from A to Z.
Since then she has been promoted to product manager and enjoys her work with dealers, retailers and consumers, plus researching market trends and keeping on top of innovations in the photographic and imaging worlds.
Sylvia's colleagues in the Meerbusch office (located just west of Düsseldorf) not only benefit from her creativity and hard work, but the phenomenal homemade cakes her mother bakes that are shared with the team.
When she has free time, Sylvia enjoys swimming, spending time with family and friends, trying new dishes—especially Italian and sometimes Asian cuisines—and traveling. Historical sites and architectural landmarks draw her to places like Rome and Budapest. From the Colosseum to the Trevi Fountain, Buda Castle to the Széchenyi Chain Bridge, Sylvia likes to take in the large and small details with her camera and her favorite Lowepro bags—making and keeping memories in the process.

Canon 20D, Pentax W20Kendra joined Lowepro in the fall of 2006 with a degree in architecture, professional experience in apparel design, and a keen interest in creating bags infused with color and a modern sensibility. She has taken the lead on Lowepro's green office initiative, helping us conserve energy, use paper wisely, eat with silverware instead of plastic, and find alternative ways of getting to and from work. Kendra commutes by bike as much as possible and has a strong interest in eco-living. She's taking her values one step further by pursuing a Sustainable Design Certificate. Kendra is really pleased to be working for a company with a strong dedication to the environment which encourages her ideals to be incorporated into the product.
In her free time Kendra enjoys doing almost anything outside! Swimming, mountain biking, hiking, and trail running are a few of her favorite activities. And growing up in Minneapolis, she really appreciates the ability to swim outdoors in her newly adopted California home.
When she shoots, Kendra likes capturing texture and abstract images. She loves the aesthetic of “gritty” 6x6 medium-format images. For the most part, she shoots urban architecture and city scenes, but nature photography appeals to her as well. Those recent road rides around the Northern California hills are definitely making an impression on Kendra.

Nikon, Canon, LeicaBorn in Canada and raised in the U.S., David is a professional photographer turned camera bag executive. He joined Lowepro in 1992, but has never stopped shooting. His photographic satisfaction comes from creating images that may or may not exist in a specific moment in time—using collage and design to enhance and add an element of mystery. His work satisfaction comes from seeing the Lowepro team grow and gain success at each turn in the company's history.
With a healthy aversion to formal attire (and frequent shaving!), David is described by colleagues as being casual and cool in mind and spirit. He works hard, plays hard (is quite an accomplished tennis player) and enjoys working out, reading, and kicking back with his family—including two Rat Terriers named The Colonel and Elvis.
A recent trip to Vietnam gave David an opportunity to do something he loves—stepping out of his culture and into another. Highlights for him were the gracious people, beautiful scenery and the chance to observe a country fast-becoming modern, but still grounded in old-world culture.
