Daymen Americas Marketing Manager
Purpose of Job
The Marketing Manager will play a key role in developing and implementing the strategic and tactical marketing plans and programs for Daymen Americas (DA).
Key responsibilities include managing the creation, implementation and development of customer marketing materials, POS, merchandising materials, market communications, and trade advertising that effectively communicate consumer benefits and on-brand product positioning strategies. Working cooperatively with sales, business development, product management and the other functions, the Marketing Manager ensures on-time deliveries and functions as the primary conduit for marketing communications, launch materials and deliverables to Daymen retailers, sales team and independent distributors.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develops and executes creative materials in support of Daymen Americas market communication strategy. Materials include packaging, advertising, promotions, POS, and merchandising tools with consumer benefit message that support DA sales goals.
- Works collaboratively with DA Product Management to build new product awareness by identifying & developing POS and merchandising tools.
- Supports the go-to-market process for new product launches by developing effective marketing and sales tools that deliver against product and brand positioning – driving sales and championing product campaigns.
- Coordinates with inside and outside creative groups, including: copywriters, packaging, and vendors relating to the design and production of marketing, merchandising and promotional materials, and other projects as assigned. Manages project budgets.
- Manages and participates in marketing events including but not limited to tradeshows and marketing meetings. Works effectively with marketing teams from other divisions and worldwide partners.
- Performs special projects as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position requires extensive interaction with multiple departments, divisions and worldwide partners, and no direct supervision of personnel at this time.
Minimum Job Qualifications
- BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, English or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years experience in channel marketing or marketing communications working with consumer packaged goods.

Organizational skills: Requires a high degree of organization, analytics, strategic planning, tactical skills, and ability to prioritize tasks appropriately. Ability to multi-task and effectively manage a variety of projects, communications, and contacts simultaneously.
Attention to detail: Requires meticulous attention to detail.
Flexibility: Must be able to deal with multiple changes to information on a daily bases. Ability to prioritize and multi-task under pressure.
Communication: Must have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence others using written, interpersonal and presentation abilities. Possess the ability to maintain open lines of communication with all cross function teams worldwide partners. Must be sensitive to cultural differences and communications styles and display a high level of diplomacy without compromising the company’s best interests.
Technical Abilities: Must be able to operate a computer. Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet software

Some business travel may be required; less than 5%.
