(Sebastopol, CA, September 1, 2009) – Lowepro, a product design company that builds protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronics, announces the launch of the Adventura series of lightweight DSLR and camcorder shoulder bags.
The Adventura series comes in three sizes to accommodate today's most popular models of DSLR kits, as well as hand-held, compact camcorders, plus accessories.
"We wanted to offer a shoulder bag with an easy-to-wear, streamlined profile to both novice and enthusiast camera or camcorder users," said Adam Croan, Lowepro director of product management. "The Adventura series provides a lightweight design that is filled with thoughtful and practical features—at a very great value," he added.
The zippered main compartment features a quick-release buckle and rainflap lid, offering the user fast access to his or her camera or camcorder when the bag is unzipped, and extra protection when it's fully closed.
The well-padded interior is entirely lined in ultra-soft and protective brushed tricot—with an unexpected twist—a Burnt Orange color that offers a highly visible contrast, making it easy to find gear as one works out of the bag. Two adjustable, padded dividers allow the user to customize space to fit most standard DSLRs, high optical zoom compact cameras, or camcorder kits.
On the exterior, the Adventura series includes a zippered front pocket complete with memory card and organization pockets for fast access to extra memory, accessories and small personal items. Two pleated side pockets offer convenient storage space for grab-and-go accessories.
Additional features of the Adventura series include: a removable/adjustable shoulder strap with a non-slip patch and durable snaphooks; a padded grab handle for an extra carrying option; a slip pocket in back (on 120 and 140 models)—ideal for a manual, notepad or maps; and a built-in belt loop in back (on 170 model only) as a third carrying option.
The Adventura series comes in three sizes in Black and Indigo Blue.
