Photographer Relations: Lowepro welcomes Suzanne Knowlton
Lowepro Welcomes Suzanne Knowlton as Head of Photographer Relations
In her return to Lowepro, Knowlton will lead the company's ongoing initiative to connect with professional photographers whose needs drive Lowepro's innovation in the camera bag industry.
(Petaluma, CA, August 1, 2011) – Lowepro, the leading brand of protective gear for photography equipment and portable electronic devices, is pleased to announce the continued strengthening of its decades-long connection to the photographer community with the appointment of Suzanne Caballero Knowlton as Worldwide Photographer Relations Manager. In this new position, Knowlton will serve as the company's liaison to professional photographers in an effort to continue building a more direct relationship between Lowepro and this core user base.
Lowepro routinely engages professional photographers to help test its latest designs, and under Knowlton's guidance the company plans to implement a more formalized process for including working photographers in its design process. Knowlton will be responsible for maintaining regular communication with the photographers who best know the exacting requirements for successfully carrying gear in rapidly shifting settings.
Knowlton has more than 10 years of experience as a marketing manager and trusted resource within the photography community, including a prior position within Lowepro. Knowlton most recently served as Vertical Marketing Manager for the online book publisher Blurb.com, and as Marketing Director with technology educational book publisher, O'Reilly Media. Prior to these positions, Knowlton was Marketing Communications Manager at Lowepro where she was responsible for social media and web initiatives, as well as implementing public relations strategies.
"We are thrilled to welcome Suzanne back to Lowepro," said Randy Dannewitz, Chief Marketing Officer at Lowepro. "The relationship between Lowepro and professional photographers is crucial to the success of our product designs; without their input we'd be unable to respond to the challenges that they face whenever they're forced to carry an ever-increasing collection of gear. We know Suzanne's expertise and character and so does the photo community. We're confident Suzanne will ensure that Lowepro maintains and strengthens its bond with working photographers."
Recent additions to the Lowepro product line have focused on the adventure-sport photographer, and the company is well positioned to actively pursue new markets and wholly innovative carrying solutions. With the hiring of Knowlton, Lowepro will continue to explore new avenues for growth utilizing her professional connections and knowledge of social media.
