This position is directly responsible for managing marketing communications initiatives that meet strategic objectives for the company. Primary responsibilities include advertising planning, public relations development, and trade show execution. This involves high level project management and excellent communication skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop annual print and on-line advertising campaign to include ad schedule, budget management, insertion orders and negotiation of ad rates. Works with advertising sales representatives to secure best possible placement and capitalize on other opportunities for coverage with publications. Work with marketing team for new ad campaign development.
- Manage public relations activities including management of PR agency for the development, placement and follow-up of press releases and product placement. Develops and manages social media campaigns. Acts as spokesperson for the media.
- Manage trade shows to ensure they are properly staffed, product offering identified for specific market requirements and logistics run smoothly. Manage booth design an on site set-up/dismantling of booth.
- Develop marketing collateral for reps and dealer mailings, promotional campaigns, trade shows/events and direct mail for Lowepro products.
- Manage quarterly dealer launches including in-store promotions, collateral, giveaways, and signage.
- Develop and manage quarterly incentives program to reps and dealers.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, or equivalent and five years related experience required.
- Experience in photo industry and/or consumer electronics channel a plus.
- Consumer global brand product experience with a background managing a multitude of products; distribution network and/or retail experience.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position requires no supervisory responsibilities at this time.
Business Travel Requirements
Some business travel may be required to perform necessary job duties; however travel is not expected to exceed 15%.
