Czech-born Antonin Kratochvil is an award-winning photojournalist, a documentary photographer and a founding member of VII Photo Agency – a Paris-based cooperative specializing in conflict photography. He is known for his wide range of unconventional images – from black-and-white documentary photography of Eastern Europe to evocative portraits of actors like George Clooney and Willem Dafoe. Antonin's work has appeared in numerous galleries and publications, and he is the recipient of the 2005 Lucie Award for Outstanding Achievement in Photojournalism and the 2005 Golden Light Award for Best Documentary Book. He has published six books, including the most recent, Persona/Portraits.
