"My photographic work is that of a portraitist, rather than a naturalist. I focus on the aesthetics, the atmosphere and the sensuality of my meetings with African wildlife. Africa is the cradle of humanity, a magic continent where 'wild' reaches its fullest dimension. Landscapes, people, animals, colors, sounds and smells catapult you into another world."
During his reports, Bruno Calendini tests the lastest photographic materials for the specialized press and Internet. His images have won numerous sport and nature photography awards. His book SAUVAGES gathers the very best of his African pictures. Bruno's exhibition of animal portraits, supported by Nikon, is currently touring in Europe. In 2009, he will be leading a wildlife photographic training course in the Okavango Delta in Botswana.
