"I'm
passionate about telling stories and sharing my experiences. My
photographs allow me this freedom. There is nothing else I would rather
be doing. I strive to capture real moments: celebration on a summit,
meditation along the way or the look of true defeat.
My most memorable projects have been trips
plagued by discomfort, uncertainty and danger. This gives the images
grittiness, immediacy and reality. And the images have sentimental
value for me, which adds depth."
Both an adventurer and a photojournalist, Corey is best known for
his authentic, in-depth photo essays. His compelling adventure and
travel images have appeared in Sports Illustrated, National Geographic
Adventure, Outside and The New York Times Magazine.
