"It's
about being out there, not just the image. I feel the pulse of nature
when a wolf howls. I want to shoot real images and tell real stories,
to show the connection between animals and the places where they live.
Hopefully, my images will move viewers to get involved in conservation.
Natural ecosystems are shrinking. I want to help save them.”
Florian is currently working on a book project on Yellowstone to Yukon, documenting mountain ecosystems of the Northern Rocky Mountains,
which will be release this fall. Recent honors include awards of the
following prestigious competitions: BBC Wildlife Photographer of the
Year, Natures Best, European Nature Photographer of the Year
competition and the Banff Centre Mountain Grant.
