João Nunes da Silva

Born in Lisbon, João Nunes da Silva began his photographic career in the mid-80s, devoting himself to the field of Nature photography. Now a well-known photographer, João has received several awards for his work. His portfolio consists of thousands of natural pictures of Portugal as well as other places of the world.

He has collaborated on articles about nature areas for several magazines, including National Geographic--Portugal. He is the author of two books and has contributed to several others. Currently, he is working on a nature photographic guide book about the Portuguese and Spanish regions. Writing articles for many magazines, he also writes a monthly article about nature photography for a well-known photography magazine, Foto Digital. Working with digital systems now, João instructs photo tours and workshops on nature photography.
