Michael
Lewis has worked as a photographer for more than 24 years. Based in
Colorado since 1986, he has worked for numerous magazines, book
publishers and corporations.
His first book, Colorados Centennial Farms & Ranches
(Westcliffe 1994), told the stories of the states original agricultural
families and was critically acclaimed.
Since then he has photographed five books for the National
Geographic Society in the Rockies, the Midwest, Canada and Africa. The
most recent book featured the stories of everyday life in eight
geographic regions of Africa. The book was published in five foreign
languages and a photo exhibit traveled to Paris, Tokyo, Taipei and Sao
Paulo.
Lewis was one of the worlds top 95 photographers who were
invited to participate in the book A Day in the Life of Africa.He is
currently working on a project on Colorado's rivers.
