"My photography is a celebration of the visual world. It all comes back to landscape. I can be inspired by satellite images, torn posters, decayed walls, even junkyards. Even when my subject isn't landscape, I see the essence of landscape. I'm drawn to organic colors: ochres, worn-down colors and the patina of age I find in Italy and Cuba. I love the quality of light in Italy, too. Light helps me express emotion in an image."
