Scott Frier

"I have used Lowepro equipment more than 30 years—from the Arctic to the Amazon—and it's never let me down. I've shot in frozen conditions, on oceans, in pouring rain—I even slid 100 feet down a steep, muddy hill—and never had damage. I always feel confident that my equipment is well protected so I can concentrate on my photography and not worry about my gear. My "go-to" bag is the Pro Trekker 300 AW backpack. It allows me to take my core Nikon system everywhere. It fits perfectly in a Pelican case so I can ship it or put it on a plane as luggage. When I get to my destination, I lift it out and I'm ready to go."

Scott Frier has traveled to more than 50 countries on photographic assignments. He joined the Cousteau Society as chief expedition photographer and lived aboard the R/V Calypso (exploring with Jacques and Jean-Michel Cousteau) for numerous expeditions including those to the Gulf of Labrador, Great Lakes, South Pacific, Caribbean, and the Amazon.

For more than 25 years, Scott worked for Nikon as a technical specialist, photographer, writer and lecturer in digital imaging, underwater and wildlife photography. His photographs and articles have appeared in numerous magazines and books in the United States, France, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, Japan and Brazil. Currently Scott and his wife Paula operated Wild Photography Workshops. These workshops offers unique, small group adventure/travel opportunities for those who want to take their wildlife photography to the next level.
