The Vertebral Tech™ Shoulder Strap

Vertebral Tech™. It's the answer to the question our design team posed to themselves: How do we build a more-perfect shoulder strap and help lessen the discomfort photographers feel when carrying a heavy load of gear?

The result—and its name—comes from the patent-pending, Vertebral Tech™ spine-like structure imbedded in a double layer of EVA foam padding.

Here's how it works:

The shoulder strap bends to conform with the shape of a shoulder and distribute weight evenly. No matter which way it's worn—left shoulder, right shoulder, facing up or facing down—the Vertebral Tech™ Shoulder Strap provides long-wearing comfort, support and flexibility.

Here are some extra features:

Sturdy metal snaphooks provide no-twist, durable connections.

A non-slip strip on both sides prevents strap from slipping.

A SlipLock™ attachment loop expands carrying options—just add a compatible pouch or a water bottle holder to keep extra gear at a hand's reach.

The Vertebral Tech™ Shoulder Strap is durable and versatile enough to offer extra support for lots of carrying situations—you can use it with luggage, a duffel bag, sports bag, briefcase or laptop case—even a golf bag or guitar case!

Lowepro designer Luis Quehl was inspired to build a better shoulder strap:

"The V-Tech Shoulder Strap is designed to take any shape you want it to. And what I mean by that is, you can wear it across your body, over either shoulder, even around your neck, and it conforms to the shape of your body. Internally it features a unique combination of segmented battens and a double layer of EVA foam that really flexes as you wear it."
